Although the zoo is not necessarily the biggest or best in the United States, it does hold true to its original values and offers residents of area code 331 a delightful afternoon that is especially popular with younger children. The cougar and turkey exhibits are particularly entertaining and provide education about the creatures featured. As a result, it is often used as a fieldtrip for local schools.
